Off-Road Driving

Guests of The Greenbrier have the opportunity to get behind the wheel of luxury SUVs and put the vehicles through their paces on a specially designed, off-road course along our 6,500-acre mountain estate. The Greenbrier Off-Road Driving School offers lessons seven days a week. Minimum age requirement is 16 years; guests under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Advance registration is required. Dress:  Resort casual attire, including collared sport shirts, walking shorts, and jeans.

Rates

1-Hour Session

Learn the basic skills of off-road driving and an introduction to an off-road driving experience. Up to three guests in the vehicle in addition to the instructor. Only one guest will have time to drive.
$220 per session

2-Hour Session

More advanced techniques are learned and skills tested. Sample the challenges of an off-road driving experience. Up to three drivers may participate.
$320 per session

3-Hour Session

Similar experience as the two-hour session with more time behind the wheel to test off-road driving techniques, like recovering from failed hill climbs and use of winching techniques to recover stuck vehicles. Up to three drivers may participate.
$440 per session

Rock Crawl

The Rock Garden Course is a series of obstacles, including large rocks, logs and deep holes with winching opportunities. This is a challenging course for both beginners and experienced off-road drivers. A 90-minute experience with up to three passengers in addition to the instructor.  Up to two drivers may participate.
$250 per session
