Gun Club

Since our Gun Club's inception in 1913, skeet and trap have been popular pastimes at The Greenbrier. Located atop Kate’s Mountain, the Gun Club’s current offerings include four combination trap and skeet fields and a 10-station sporting clays course. The sporting clays course was designed by Justin Jones and John Higgins of the British School of Shooting and challenges shooters of all skill levels. Minimum age is 16 years; parental consent is required. Safety equipment use is mandatory. For reservations, call 800-453-4858.

Dress:  Resort casual attire, including collared sport shirts, walking shorts, and jeans.

Trap & Skeet

25 Target Rounds

$45 (includes shotgun, shells, safety equipment and vest)

Sporting Clays

Introduction to Sporting Clays

$80 (A one hour overview of gun safety and shooting techniques, includes 25 clays)

50 Target Rounds

$95 (includes shotgun, shells, safety equipment and vest)
$60 (guest provides own shotgun and shells)

100 Target Rounds

$160 (includes shotgun, shells, safety equipment and vest)
$95 (guest provides owns shotgun and shells)

Shooting Lessons

The British School of Shooting has certified 4 of our instructors. We offer shooting instruction for both the advanced enthusiast and the novice or first time shooter.

25 Target Rounds

$140 (includes shotgun, shells, safety equipment and vest)

Age Requirements

All shooters age 18 and above must sign a Liability Release Waiver before using The Greenbrier's Gun Club facilities. For Target Rounds, ages 16 and 17 - Liability Release Waiver must be signed by parent or guardian, must verify & attest to the youth-shooter.

Lessons may be provided to youth 14 and 15 years old, with both a Liability Release Waiver signed by accompanying parent or guardian and verification of the age of the youth-shooter. Youth shooters ages 14 and 15 may not use The Greenbrier's Gun Club facilities after the lesson. Minimum age for target rounds is 16 years as noted above.
