Steuben Glass Creates Perpetual Trophy for The Greenbrier

Steuben Glass, the finest maker of pure crystal, is pleased to announce the completion of a special commission for The Greenbrier, the five-diamond luxury resort in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia.  Steuben has created a crystal trophy for The Greenbrier Classic, based upon The Greenbrier's iconic Springhouse, crowned with a sterling silver golfer. The fluting in the dome was created by copper wheel engraving, a Steuben specialty and rare 17th century technique practiced by few artisans in the world. The trophy, measuring nearly three feet high and weighing 60 pounds, will reside in the resort's lower lobby.  Each side of the walnut base has an embedded crystal block where the names of each year's winner will be engraved. In addition, the winner of the Classic, a PGA TOUR, FedEx Cup event, will receive a companion piece, echoing the iconic Springhouse in its design. This piece is a prime example of Steuben executing a unique, custom-made special commission to a client's exacting specifications.
